Anushka Sharma And Virat Kohli broke up

They have been one of the most written-about celebrity couples for the past two years, but it looks like that might have come to an end. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the relationship between actress Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli has come to an end.

This news, if true, comes close on the heels of the alleged break-up between Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, as well as the end of Farhan and Adhuna Akhtar's 15-year-long marriage.

This news comes close on the heels of reports that Kohli recently unfollowed Sharma on Twitter and Instagram, aside from posting a picture with the caption 'Heartbroken', before deleting and re-uploading it.

Reportedly, the couple has not been in touch for the past three weeks. Kohli, who had opted out of the ongoing India-Sri Lanka Twenty-20 series to spend more time with his girlfriend, was "shocked" to find that she had busied herself with several projects and had no time to spare for him. 

At a recent party, a source told Mirror that Kohli had confided in them that he felt "cloistered around his controlling girlfriend". He was seen on the dance floor, saying "I'm single, let's dance" to people around him.

Ultimately, it seems that the reason for the break-up might be the most common of them all: wanting different things from the relationship. "Virat proposed marriage around New Year's Eve. Anushka rejected it, categorically stating that it would be better for them to focus on their careers instead," the unnamed source told Mumbai Mirror.
